Apartment building at Pärnu mnt 129 cPärnu mnt 129 c, Tallinn

In spring 2007, Merko Ehitus started a residential construction with 120 apartments in Tallinn at 129 c Pärnu mnt. The construction includes two seven storey apartment buildings, which are located on a common parking lot. The outer wall of the building consists of prefabricated three-layer sandwich panels of reinforced concrete, and load-bearing inner walls are prefabricated one-layer panels of reinforced concrete. Between the buildings, there is a greenery – recreation area with pathways, a playground and benches. The area between the houses above the parking lot is covered with pavement. The parking area is located mostly underground but a quarter of parking spaces is also on the lot’s territory. The territory is enclosed with fence. During the construction, high vegetation was retained. After the completion of the building, more trees as well as bushes have been planted. In the course of work, a new lighted street up to Saku Street was established and the territory adjacent to the building was fixed up. Architecturally, the two buildings form a visual whole – both houses have two glass stairways with two elevators. Apartments on upper floors have roof terraces. The basement floors of both buildings are connected: there is a garage, storerooms and technical rooms. II stage of the construction was completed in 2010.
