The building that was constructed by Merko Ehitus is the first new or so-called ‘our own’ police headquarters in the Republic of Estonia after the restoration of its independence. We can say that the outcome is an interesting building that has everything the police need for their job: starting from 150 kg cell doors, weapon depositories and interrogation rooms to a beautiful courtyard in the inner circle of the building with a terrace and gallery, notwithstanding the fact that its beauty can be admired only by the people who work in the building and by the residents living on the top floor of the apartment building next to it.
