In May 2007 the cable line of 110 kV installed between the substations of Emajõe and Ülejõe in Tartu was given over to the Client. During the procurement the cable lines of 110 kV were designed and installed to the substation of Emajõe and Ülejõe and between the existing overhead line and the substation of Emajõe. Also, the optical communication cable and the cables of 110 kV of Jaotusvõrk were installed to the same mineral raw material with the cables of 110 kV. About 2.5 km of overhead line was renovated and taken over to the current of 110 kV.

On 1 July 2021, Merko Ehitus Eesti acquired a stake in Connecto Eesti, and the Merko electrical construction business line merged with Connecto. Acting jointly under the Connecto brand makes it possible for us to offer a significantly broader range of services – in addition to the design, construction and maintenance of low, medium and high voltage electricity networks, Connecto also operates in the field of telecommunications and gas networks.
