In the course of the works, the Vändra 110kV substation was renovated using a turnkey method and including delivery of equipment along with the necessary design work, installation, configuration and inspections. The old switchgear was demolished and a new H-type 110kV external switchgear was established along with reconnections of lines, and new control, auxiliary and supervision system. In the course of the works, the access road was also renovated, and a new control building and 110kV switchgear were built.

On 1 July 2021, Merko Ehitus Eesti acquired a stake in Connecto Eesti, and the Merko electrical construction business line merged with Connecto. Acting jointly under the Connecto brand makes it possible for us to offer a significantly broader range of services – in addition to the design, construction and maintenance of low, medium and high voltage electricity networks, Connecto also operates in the field of telecommunications and gas networks.
