The design and construction work in the Matsalu sub-basin’s water and sewerage project was performed in two parts.

Stage 1 covered Märjamaa and Vigala municipalities’ water and sewerage infrastructure, in which a total of 27.5 km of water pipelines, 35.3 km of sewerage pipelines, 9.4 km of pressurized sewerage pipelines, 30 waste water pumping stations, 8 waste water treatment plants, a purging centre, 4 waste treatment plants, 7 bore well pumping stations and a level 2 pumping station with reservoirs were built.

In Stage 2, work was performed in Rapla, Raikküla and Kehtna municipality: a total of 23.2 km of water pipelines, 21.0 km of sewerage pipelines, 7.4 km of pressurized sewerage pipelines, 18 waste water pumping stations, 5 waste water treatment plants, 6 bore well pumping stations and 3 water treatment plants.
