The new Skanstes PARKS apartment project in Riga has been completed

Having built 130 new units in three apartment buildings, Merks has completed its work on the Skanstes Parks residential project. The territory has a well-equipped public park with an area of 21,000 m², playgrounds and underground parking.

The project was launched in 2015 and began with the construction of an apartment building at Grostonas 12, followed by apartment buildings at Dikmanu 4 and Vesetas 15, which were finished in September completing the general construction of the Skanstes PARKS project.

According to the chairman of the Board of Merks Ltd, Oskars Ozolins, “The centres of European cities are often built as a place for tourists and office workers and also as a convenient place for the true owners of the city – its residents. The demand for modern housing close to the city centre is proven by the fact that all the apartments in our previous Skanstes Virsotnes and Skanstes Mājas projects have been sold, and more than half of the Skanstes Parks apartments have either been sold or reserved. In the future, Merks plans to develop and implement new housing projects close to the city centre, making the area attractive for living.”

Skanstes Parks is a part of Riga’s new development, which continues the building of the Skanste district as a modern centre. The opportunities for purchasing a new apartment close to the city centre are still limited in Riga; therefore, one of the aims of the Skanste district development is the creation of new, modern housing in the vicinity of which there is all important infrastructure – schools, kindergartens, sports centres, medical facilities and public transport.
