Construction of Õielehe residential development gets under way in Jüri

To this point, Merko apartments have been available for homebuyers in Tallinn and Tartu but now there is an opportunity for those who want to live in the vicinity of Tallinn. We are launching construction on Õielehe development in the hamlet of Jüri, which will ultimately boast 10 apartment buildings and four townhouses.

The first two apartment buildings in Õielehe residential quarter will be completed in spring 2025 at Õie 2 and Õie 4. The two-storey energy class A structures will have 22 apartments and the sizes of the 2–5-room units will be 50–102 square metres. All apartments have a terrace or balcony and readiness for the addition of a cooling system. The car parking spaces have readiness for installing an EV charging point and there are solar panels on the building roof.

“The establishment of the Õielehe project is a carefully considered decision that that will allow us to offer high-quality homes and an integral living environment in the near vicinity of Tallinn. Jüri is a superb place to live for people who want to be slightly away from the clamour of the city but with all the services they need close by,” said the director of Merko Kodud, Indrek Tarto.

Set to be home to more than 140 families, Õielehe quarter is a functional living environment integrated with nature and with a warm ambience. The spatial layout of the buildings being erected near a recreational path will create a pleasant home environment for residents. The yard outside the building will be lush with trees and play and recreational equipment. The design draws on the names of the streets, Õie (Blossom) and Lehe (Leaf).

Everything needed for comfort and convenience can be found nearby without needing to go into the city. Several schools are within a short walk of Õielehe – the new Rae state gymnasium built by Merko and several preschools. So are shops, places to eat, sports facilities and cultural venues.

Õielehe residential project is the product of collaboration between top names in their respective fields. The architectural design and interior finishing packages were created in collaboration with PIN Architects. The architectural practice Loovmaastik was involved in the landscape design and Merko Ehitus Estonia is building the structures.
