In the first stage of the development project of Pikaliiva, two residential buildings with 66 apartments were completed next to the Lake Harku surrounded by greenery. The apartment buildings are energy class B. The buildings have economical water-based floor heating, with emphasis on soundproof apartment partition walls and increased thermal insulation of exterior walls. Glasses with increased sun protection are installed on the southern side of apartment buildings, which provide protection against the excessive heat of the summer.
Indoor courtyards and playgrounds with diverse landscaping and lighting are built in the new quarter. Character is added to the plastered apartment buildings by brick imitation used on the end walls. Each apartment has a balcony, and the first-floor apartments have a spacious terrace. Facilities include a lift, public areas for bicycles and baby carriages, and personal storage rooms. Parking spaces are established around the house.
