During the 1st stage of the project, three 5-storey buildings with a total of 117 apartments were built. There are 2- to 4-room apartments with a living area of 35-70 m².

The Mežpilsēta residential project is located in one of the greenest neighbourhoods in Riga – Mežciems, which makes it a preferred living environment for young families. The land plot is located in a unique place between the Dreiliņupīte stream, which is cleaned up, and a forest that offers pleasant walks in the nature.

The residents of the first-floor apartments facing Dreiliņupīte stream or the forest are able to enjoy private green areas, while all other apartments have a balcony. All buildings include an elevator, common and private storage rooms. There are children’s playgrounds and gazebos next to the buildings, as well as outdoor parking spaces. Special care is taken for security – the area is fenced, with video surveillance.

Within close vicinity of the residential quarter there is a well-developed infrastructure with public transport, kindergartens, schools, medical institutions, fitness and shopping centres that the inhabitants need for a comfortable daily life. The Biķernieki and Jugla forests are also nearby, offering a variety of recreational opportunities and outdoor activities in fresh air.

This project is also highly valued among industry professionals, receiving an award as the TOP 3 project in Latvia in 2022. As well as recognition in the competition “Sustainability in architecture construction design in Baltics 2023”.
