Tallinna Teede AS reconstructed Viru Street, Kuninga Street and Vanaturu Street into a pedestrian precinct; the roadway and the walkway were transferred to one level, and part of the street was given fully to pedestrians. We reconstructed the communications under the street, improved the rainwater removal and innovated the street lighting. During reconstruction, the contours of the towers and the town wall demolished in the second half of the 19th century were marked on the street surface; the lighting and fences of Viru Street towers were renovated.
