The concept of the Kaunas Police Headquarters building focused on a compact and rational structure to create an aesthetically pleasing environment of social responsibility for both the staff and visitors.

The building with two internal atriums and an external one as well is the first A ++ energy performance class administrative building in Lithuania – almost all the energy required for its operation is obtained from renewable sources. Solar panels with a capacity of more than 300 kW have been installed on the roof of the administrative and warehouse building and the car garage, and the energy generated will be sufficient for the operation of the buildings. In addition, a ground-loop heat pump has been installed for heating and cooling the buildings. The modern heating, cooling and ventilation system creates a high-quality microclimate and ensures a comfortable working environment. The new modern building offers significant savings in operating costs. The control of the technical systems of the buildings is fully automated and connected to the general control system of the building, which allows ventilation and air conditioning, and workplace lighting parameters to be changed automatically.

Gross area 6,471.94 m²; volume of the building 29,743 m³

350 Kaunas County police officers will work in these modern premises.
