An art exhibition underneath Freedom Square

The underground parking garage under Freedom Square in the city centre of Tallinn is currently exhibiting works by two acclaimed Estonian sculptors, Edith Karlson and Jass Kaselaan. Edith Karlson, it should be noted, represented Estonia with her exhibition at the 2024 Venice Biennale as well.

Among the old bastion walls, a horse sculpture by Karlson called Body and Spirit has found a home, along with child-sized “ghosts” with the collective name Drama Is In Your Head. Kaselaan’s contributions are two groups of sculptures: Seven Mice and Them and Me.
