Once a year, the children of Merko’s employees come to work with their parents to discover the exciting world of construction. We visit Merko sites, explore 3D structural models, do arts and crafts and conduct scientific experiments. All so that the children’s interest in science would deepen and there would be a next generation of brilliant civil engineers.

Over the years, the children have seen the rise of several Tallinn landmarks, including the Arter Centre, T1 Shopping Centre and apartment buildings in the Paepargi, Noblessner and Uus-Veerenni quarters. Together, we’ve performed science theatre, ridden a construction hoist, seen a tower crane at work, discovered virtual reality, crafted concrete pencil cups and dreamed as little architects of the urban space that we would like to create when we grow up.
