Niguliste Museum’s piano

Merko donated an Estonia salon concert grand piano to the Niguliste Museum with the aim of bringing even more concerts to the hall, with its wonderful atmosphere and acoustics, and, along with them, an ever-growing number of art and music enthusiasts. The donation of the piano also marked the 25th anniversary of the partnership between Merko and the Art Museum of Estonia.

The L 225 salon concert grand piano, handcrafted by the masters of the Estonia Piano Factory, embodies more than two centuries of Estonian piano-making tradition. The singing, warm, and resonant tone characteristic of Estonia pianos opens up a rich sonic space for the pianist, where a gentle pianissimo can grow into a fortissimo reminiscent of cathedral bells, painting emotional and colorful musical landscapes before the listener’s eyes.
