Sculpture “Rabbit and Pig”

The Arter quarter, completed in 2024/2025, transformed the entire skyline of Tallinn. And thanks to Arter, Tallinn finally has an “equestrian monument”, something that many have demanded for the public realm in the past. Yet the first one installed, placed in front of the park behind the building, depicts neither a horse nor a king or emperor astride a noble steed.

The sculpture, created by metal artist Heigo Jelle, is titled Rabbit and Pig, with the subtitle Don’t Lose Your Head. At first glance, an ordinary passerby will notice what appears to be a naked woman riding astride a four-legged pipe. In other words, sitting on the back of a pig. The provocative work invites interpretation and challenges the viewer to search for meaning.
