This exclusive apartment building is the fi rst in the Hiiu Lõvi Park that will be built on the premises of the historical garrison of the town of Nõmme. The apartment building consists of fi ve three-storey houses that are situated above an underground parking lot. The façades of the houses are made of wood and copper plate, which according to the architect should achieve the desired greenish colour only after a few years. The use of granite, copper, glass and wood in the staircases create a very warm feeling. Lime plaster and lime paints were used to fi nish walls and ceilings. The lighting both inside and outside adds to the exclusive look. As the houses are built in a park-to-be, there are a lot of trees and bushes around the houses. The houses are heated through a ground source heating system. Also heat exhausted from the rooms is made use of. As the fl ats have water underfloor heating there are no radiators to interfere with the view fromthe floor-to-ceiling windows on the peaceful Nõmme nature.
