Ivo Volkov to take the helm of Merko Ehitus Eesti

The AS Merko Ehitus Eesti supervisory board has appointed Ivo Volkov the new chairman of the management board from 1 January 2020. The current chairman, Keit Paal, will serve until the end of 2019. Besides Volkov, the other members of the AS Merko Ehitus Eesti management board are Jaan Mäe, Alar Lagus and Veljo Viitmann.

“We’re very glad that we have found, in the person of Ivo Volkov, a capable leader for our team, a person whose work at the helm of elite competitors will bring new experiences and competency to Merko. We believe that Ivo is a strong addition to Merko’s experienced team so that we can continue offering our customers the best construction service and the best possible product to our apartment buyers,” said the chairman of the AS Merko Ehitus Eesti supervisory board, Andres Trink.

“The current chairman of the management board, Keit Paal, along with the management as a whole and our employees, has done a good job for the largest subsidiary in the Merko Group – new investments have been made, there has been investment into the company’s BIM and quality management fields and a number of key development processes have been launched. In terms of its economic results as well, the company has been in good shape and this is a strong foundation to go forward with,” added Trink.

Volkov currently works as the PKC Group Plc’s vice-president for European and South American operations. He is also member of the management board of PKC Eesti AS. Volkov previously served as South American regional director for PKC Group Plc, chairman of the board of Cargotec Estonia AS, in various positions in the Elcoteq Group.
