Merko seen by tech students as the most attractive employer

The employer branding agency Instar conducted its annual job expectations and employer reputation survey, gauging the attractiveness of 242 Estonian organizations among 9,000 students at institutions of higher education and vocational schools and people with work experience.

Merko was placed first in the sectoral ranking compiled on the basis of the preferences of technical students. We were followed by Nordecon, Eesti Energia, Cleveron and ABB. In the ranking summarising the opinions of students from all fields, we were the highest rated employer in the field of construction and real estate, winning 39th place in the overall table.

Instar is a member of the European Association of Employer Branding Agencies and has been mapping Estonians’ work-related preferences since 2010. Merko has stood out as an employer in all of the years in which the survey was conducted. Starting with the rankings of technology students’ preferences in 2017, we have remained in the top five most attractive employers in the construction sector, taking the top spot in three of those years.

In Instar’s annual survey, respondents rate their expectations as to employers, information and information channels. In addition, the survey also ranks the attractiveness of Estonia’s largest and most important employers as a workplace.
