State power company Eesti Energia wanted to establish a new power plant at Auvere, and in relation to this a fuel feeding system connected to the shale oil plant had to be built for the power plant. Lighting and low-voltage power supply systems were built for the fuel feeding system. The work also encompassed work to install and configure the systems for supplying power to the automated systems in the building and plant. Complexity stemmed from the need – due to the extremely critical schedule – to perform the electrical work simultaneously with the general construction.
On 1 July 2021, Merko Ehitus Eesti acquired a stake in Connecto Eesti, and the Merko electrical construction business line merged with Connecto. Acting jointly under the Connecto brand makes it possible for us to offer a significantly broader range of services – in addition to the design, construction and maintenance of low, medium and high voltage electricity networks, Connecto also operates in the field of telecommunications and gas networks.
