Construction of the Katoen Natie Logistics Centre began in February 2013 and the work was delivered in September of the same year. The contract covered the establishment of a warehouse building on a reinforced concrete foundation, with sandwich type wall panels on a metal frame and a weight-bearing sheet metal roof, including a railway spur. The logistics centre building has a length of 240 metres, a width of 66 metres and a height of 15.8 metres. During construction, a total of 65,000 m3 of soil was removed from the site and 30,000 m3 of sand was transported in its place. Within the project, a 621-metre-long length of railway and a gantry was constructed.
