Under the contract, a new two-section, 110 kilovolt external switchyard will be built on the territory of the existing Järvakandi substation, along with a control and support system. Two existing overhead lines and two power transformers will be connected to the new facility.
The scope of the project also includes the substation’s new control building, new roads will be built to service the electrical installation and a new system will collect and drain run-off from the switchyard grounds. The renovation will take place as a turnkey project.
On 1 July 2021, Merko Ehitus Eesti acquired a stake in Connecto Eesti, and the Merko electrical construction business line merged with Connecto. Acting jointly under the Connecto brand makes it possible for us to offer a significantly broader range of services – in addition to the design, construction and maintenance of low, medium and high voltage electricity networks, Connecto also operates in the field of telecommunications and gas networks.
