We demolished the old roof of the building and together with the construction of the new roof installed also 498 skylights, insulated the façades of the courtyards on the roof and protruding parts of the building. In addition windows were replaced and a new heating system built. The renovation of the technical systems comprised the construction of a new air intake structure in the courtyard, air chambers to the existing ventilation chamber (supply and exhaust), an additional ventilation chamber on the roof, replacement of the whole ventilation and heating system of the building, construction of new smoke extraction systems in storage rooms. The ventilation system was equipped with modern automatics and the new systems got new power supply. Together with the construction work of the technical systems also a new lighting solution for the corridors was created, the existing suspended ceiling was replaced in the whole building, and the walls and ceilings damaged in the demolishing work were reconstructed and finished.
