Digital tools studio

In the autumn of 2018, a digital tools studio was opened with the support of Merko, which focuses on the design of a large-scale energy-efficient building. The studio’s work is led by Professor Bernhard Sommer and Associate Professor Galo Moncayo, and the students are supervised also by junior researchers and doctoral students of the department. The studio focused on the use of digital tools in the process of designing buildings to see the close interconnections and adaptations between different parts of the building.
