Merko scholarship 2016

Since 2007, we have recognised engineering students and young lecturers at TalTech with scholarships to help secure the future of the construction industry and to provide better education to future professionals.

The 2016 engineering scholarship was awarded to the fifth-year engineering student Erik Sumeri from Tallinn University of Technology. He was awarded a gold medal at graduation from the C.R. Jakobson Secondary School specialising in physics and mathematics, and he has been on internship at Merko several times. He has stood out as a smart fast learner and has earned much praise from his instructors. Erik is an active member of the Student Council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and has participated in several projects.
