In Latvia, Merks has supported the Student Association of the Riga Technical University’s Faculty of Civil Engineering by participating in the “Step into the Shoes of an Engineer” initiative. This is a job shadow day where students can spend one working day with a construction site team and learn about their daily work. In total, Merks received 20 students, of whom 15 were at the Laima factory site, 3 at the Lidl logistics centre site and 2 at a Riga Technical University construction site.
