The renovation of the technical systems comprised the replacement of the ventilation equipment (both supply and exhaust parts) of the library reading and storage rooms; reconstruction of the ventilation equipment heat supply system; building of a new cooling system for the reading rooms on the 4^th to the 7^th floor; reconstruction of the cooling unit in the ground floor technical room; renovation of the outdoor pool/fountain used as a free cooling solution in summer; making all renovated systems automatic and providing new strong current solutions for all systems (starting from transformer substations with main cables). As for the façades, the most voluminous and time-consuming work was the replacement of the aluminium window of building 714 with triple-glazed insulated PVC windows. The replacement of the windows in the framework of the CO₂ procurement results in smaller heating costs and more sound-proof rooms. The main entrance door was replaced with a Fagel Duotour revolving door that the employees and visitors of the library have already expressed satisfaction with.
