The new pro-gymnasium in Balsiai micro-district, Vilnius was built according to the principle of cooperation between the public sector and private sector (PPP) by Vilnius City Municipality, Vilniaus Vystymo Kompanija UAB, Merko Statyba UAB and E.L.L. Kinnisvara AS. Balsiai school received one of the gold medals at the competition “Product of the year 2011 of Lithuania” organized by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists. The school building has 3 floors and one underground floor. There are 50 well-lighted classrooms, a two-storey library, a dining hall, performance and sport halls. The floors are decorated with patterns in national colours and many classrooms are equipped with iPads. The dining-room hall can be transformed into a lecture hall. In addition there are sport grounds and a stadium, 30 car parking lot and a courtyard with roofed bicycle parking next to the school building.

In 2021, in the “For Sustainable Development” competition The Balsiai School received the exclusive Golden Award – the best of the best real estate projects from 2007 to 2020.
