SIA Merks sings a contract to build “Laima” factory
Construction company “Merks” has signed a contract with SIA “Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Latvija” for the construction of a new “Laima” factory in Ādaži, Laimas Street 6. The total amount of the contract is EUR 8.9 million and construction will start in April this year.

In the announced tender, which was aimed at selecting a contractor for the construction of the new “Laima” factory, 12 bids were submitted both from the leading Latvian construction companies and international companies, and, after careful consideration, “Merks” was selected as the builder of the factory. It is expected that the new “Laima” factory will launch in 2020. In the purchased land plot in Ādaži, access roads and infrastructure connections have already been set up, and the street of the factory has been named after Laima.
